Hecox Family

Pastor Jordan and his wife Lauren have been married since 2010 and have four children. Since graduating with a Master’s of Divinity from Bethlehem College and Seminary, Jordan has had a heart for church planting.

Over countless drives between his Iowa hometown and the Twin Cities, Jordan has been enchanted by the beauty of the Minnesota River Valley and Mankato in particular.

As they are planted by Cities Church, the Hecox family prays they will be God’s instrument in leading a new congregation of blood-bought believers who worship Christ, love one another, and tell others of the treasure they have found.

With the gospel at the center, we want our joy in Jesus to spill over into four key areas of discipleship.

biblical resilience

We make it our aim to sink the roots of our faith down so deeply into the Scriptures that his promises become more real to us than our present circumstances.

prayerful dependence

Jesus himself said that “apart from me you can do nothing.” We acknowledge this reality by coming with ever more frequency and fervency before the throne of God in prayer.

genuine community

As a blood-bought community of Christ followers, we seek to know each other deeply, to encourage one another daily, and to regularly confess our sins to one another.

missional intentionality

Maturity in the Christian life doesn’t end with us — we were made to multiply. We are on mission to advance the gospel so that others might taste and see that the Lord is good.
